       Our Practice will be fully closed on Christmas Day (25th December), Boxing Day (26th December) and New Year's Day (1st January)

 

On Christmas Eve (24th December) and New Year's Eve (31st December)

we will close at 4pm. 🕓

 

Here's how to get help during this time:

 

📞 Between 4pm and 6:30pm on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve,

please phone DHU directly on 0300 323 0671.

Please don’t use this number during any other time.

 

📬 You can post requests, forms, or letters through our patient post box or letterbox – these will be dealt with no earlier than 8am on 29th December.

 

Please let us have script requests by 22nd December if needed over the break.

 

🏥 Face-to-face appointments (if needed) may be at:

 

Merlyn Vaz Health Centre, 1 Spinney Hill Rd, Leicester LE5 3GH

Oadby Urgent Treatment Centre, 18 The Parade, Leicester LE2 5BJ

Loughborough Urgent Treatment Centre, 53 Goods Yard Close, Loughborough LE11 5EB

 

📱 On 24th December and 31st December, non-urgent electronic requests can still be sent between 4pm–6:30pm via the NHS App or our website

but will not be looked at before 8am on 29th December

 

🚨 In an emergency, always call 999.

 

📞 For medical advice after 6:30pm on

Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve, please call 111.

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Accident and emergency department at the Leicester Royal Infirmary is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and can assess serious injuries and provide emergency treatment.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Extended Hours

  • Queens Road Surgery: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 6:30pm to 7pm
  • St Peters Health Centre: Thursday 6:30pm to 7pm

We also offer occasional Saturday appointments.
